FUNDRAISING for 2020

After losing Dad early in 2019 after a lengthy battle with numerous types of cancer, I decided to do something about my health and wellbeing. I have become much healthier and at the same time I decided I should be raising some money along the way, giving back to Cancer Research UK who with the help of our amazing NHS managed to keep Dad alive a number of years to share some amazing memories with the family.  

I decided to start running, something I hadn't done since school and set myself an initial goal of completing couch to 5km. Once I completed that I set myself a fairly daunting task of 500km by the end of 2019 which gave me about 9 months to complete the distance! Well I completed that  in mid September and set a new target up to 750km which I also completed with a couple of weeks to spare.  

In 2020 I set myself the target of running 1000km, cycling 1000km and completing my first half marathon - I will be keeping a track of the kilometres on Strava (a link to my profile is below) so you can see I'm not just making it up!

I'll also had a series of events  planned throughout 2020 however unfortunately these have all been rescheduled to 2021 due to covid-19. I will keep you informed of the dates for the events in 2021 on here as soon as dates are reconfirmed.

Thank you to all of you who have already sponsored,  I'm incredibly grateful to you and wish I could thank you all personally. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when hopefully all cancers are cured.
